With huge thanks to my friends IceWolf and Thylacine for making the purchase of the kit possible.
Started this project on the 25th August 2007 that was the day I got the kit out of its bag and started sorting the threads. Then there was the gridding up of the fabric which took forever but made a huge difference in the ease of stitching. The first stitch was put into the calendar itself on 18th Oct 2007 and it was finished 8th June 2008. Since then I’ve been working the little hangers to go on each day and the beading and finishing of the calendar.
It is now finished and hanging up on our lounge room wall counting down the days of advent.

I will admit to having the final 5 little hangers to go but I’m just so thrilled to have it hanging up on the wall.

Congrats!! It’s beautiful.
I have loved to watch it progress. The back stitching makes it so defined.

Congratulations! This is a piece that can be enjoyed for generations. One day, someone might be telling how great-great grandmother made this Advent calendar…well, you get the picture! Enjoy!
