Moments #10

Saying the Lords Prayer with my girls at bedtime. Annie started off joining in but in a very angry voice and stopped half way through.

When we were finished Annie said it was not fair that I said the Lords Prayer with Heidi and not just Annie, then she threw herself face down into her pillow.

I explained to Annie that the Lords Prayer was something people said all together like at Church where everyone says it at the same time.

Annie then asked why some of her cousins did not say the Lords Prayer. I was trying to explain to Annie that not everyone believes in Jesus so not everyone prays.

Midway through Annie said that her cousins believed in Jesus but they didn’t pray. I said that was very sad as praying is how you talk to Jesus and if they can’t pray then they can’t talk to Jesus.

Annie then said maybe they didn’t know how to pray and maybe she could teach them. I was telling her that was something she could ask them about when Annie interrupted to say that maybe we could take her cousins to Church as well so they could learn how to pray there.

Interestingly the last Church service we went to the sermon was on Mission and Outreach, even though Annie didn’t seem to be listening I think she was.

Moments # 12

We had to bring the car seats inside today as hubby was taking the car to work and BIL D was taking the girls and I (along with his two boys) to a birthday party. The girls lay their car seats on the floor, propped the heads up on boxes of Pepsi Max cans and made a ‘hospital’ in the corridor. Annie was the doctor and Heidi was the patient.

Birthday Party

We went to a birthday party today at the Altona Miniature Railway – it was amazing, everyone had fun, such a great idea, I might have to steal it for one of the girls birthday parties.

Heidi – she had her hands over her ears most of the time because of the noisy train whistle and the tunnel of DOOM (second pic is entrance to tunnel of DOOM) but that didn’t stop her going on the train 9 times in 2 hours:

Stonewall beside the track which I thought was pretty awesome, looks like it has been put together with no mortar.
