Thursday afternoon we got our Aussie Farmers Direct delivery. Heidi got VERY attached to the eggplant and decided it was her baby:

I ended up getting out the Barbie Doll box to divert her attention from the eggplant (before she ended up squishing it with love).

That turned out to be an inspired idea as Heidi’s finger friends Alice and Oosie really have a shoe fetish and happily spent the next hour trying on various new shoes.

Friday we went swimming in the morning and back to the museum in the afternoon. I took lots more terribly bad photos of the girls having fun at the museum 
After the museum closed the girls and I picked up Ralph from work and we all went out for dinner together at the Golden Terrace Turkish Restaurant. Wonderful end to a wonderful day

I have to admit to a rather unusual attachment to eggplant as well. It all started when a friend of mine had one that he refused to eat because it was “too pretty” to cut up and cook.

I wouldn’t eat my gingerbread man when I was little. I became very attached to him.
My sister killed him. I still hate my sister.

Marita, your blog has had me in stitches and your girls are absolutely delightful! I’m also loving the adventures of Heidi’s finger friends!
On a whole different tack, I think I know where your puppy lives. If I’m not mistaken, he lives just across the road from the really steep path next to the toilets, not more than 200 metres from the playground! Hope he gets home alright, I’ll look for him next time I’m walking past.
