Stuff With Thing

Live Blogging – Sort of

July 6, 2009 · 7 Comments

I had this idea that I would live blog our morning today.

But by the time I got pictures uploaded and dealt with various stuff an hour had elapsed.

So lets pretend it is still 7am and I’ve only got one coffee inside me.

Annie is at the kitchen table reading her dictionary.

Annie is full of questions this morning.

How are gems and jewels made.
What is an enclosure – related to reading about Zoos in her dictionary
Why was the first bike made.

Thankfully a friend who was over yesterday has a great child friendly book about pregnancy and babies which covers DNA. So Annie has stopped asking about DNA while she waits for this book.

It is like the holidays having given Annie permission to be Annie again has unleashed this flow of questions that she has been wanting to ask for months.

Thank god for Mr Google as she calls it.

Heidi and her finger friends have been in the lounge room playing with ‘my friend stethoscope’ Alice spends much time hanging stehoscope upside down while Oosie tries to rescue stethoscope and tells Alice off.

Last night I nearly destroyed the universe in my frustration of assembling Heidi’s model Mill House

From Live Blog 6th July 2009

Pieces DID NOT FIT and there was much sanding and I resorted to gluing the whole thing together.

But it was worth it because Alice and Oosie discovered the ‘Spinning Wheel House’ this morning and have had a great time dancing around the wheel.

I didn’t even think about autistic kids and their love of spinning things when I purchased the model house.

Anyways back to live blogging. The glue on both the girls houses has dried so they are having staring contests through the house windows.

Once that got boring they started blowing raspberries at each other and fighting over which one does not like the other one.

I’ve found a wet night time pull up shoved behind the toilet, because it was so much easier to crawl in and stuff it behind the S bend than put it in the rubbish bin.

The shower screen door is broken, one of the roller screw things up the top has dived to its death. I must not have cleaned the mould remover off the corner of the bathroom floor well enough yesterday, because the blue bathmat now has streaks of orange.

And right now the children are putting bandaids on each other so I’d better go see if there was an actual injury and get another coffee.

Happy Monday Morning World.
