Regular readers may have noticed that we spent lots of time at the Melbourne Museum over the holidays. The museum currently has a big display on – A Day in Pompeii – which we have not visited, wasn’t suitable for children under 9yo.
BUT they did have related school holiday activities the children could participate in for free and my girls very eagerly joined in making their own Gladiator Helmets or as my girls call them ‘Radiator Helmets’.

We stopped shortly afterwards for lunch and found a beautiful rainbow on the wall which Heidi very much enjoyed playing with while Annie decompressed.

Alice and Oosie (Heidis finger friends) sure did enjoy playing hide and seek in the eye holes of the radiator helmet. It made our drive home very entertaining
Later that night Annie found a much better use for her Radiator Helmet – as a Darth Vader helmet
