Like many families with children on the autism spectrum we have picture card schedule in our toilet showing the sequence of toileting steps.
One card is a big hit with many of the families that visit us and we often get asked for a copy of it –

Just recently I discovered that Kleenex have released a special brand of toilet paper just for kids that reinforces this message in the cutest way possible, with puppies

The toilet tissue has printed paw prints leading up to a picture of the Kleenex Puppy every three to four sheets. When they get to the puppy, kids just stop and tear, a concept that’s easy to teach and simple to understand.
Awesome, Thank you Kleenex
It would be great not to have to unblock the toilet on a regular basis and not to have to fish entire rolls of toilet paper out.
Please note – this is not a paid product review, I have not received goods, services or dollars for this, in fact I forked out $7 or so at Coles this week for the product and have been very happy with it. However if the people from Kleenex were to send some Kids toilet paper my way I would not say no for it is awesome stuff.

One of mine still can’t tolerate ‘paper’ so we still have a box of wet wipes
but yes the tools are always there.
Cheers

I’ve threatened using the Yellow Pages – as bog roll, not as former-police-thumping tactics (not that the police ever did anything like that, ever)…

Cool product.
Rather timely that you wrote this as I’ve been thinking of doing a picture/words schedule in our bathroom. Mainly for Sarah, but also for Charlotte who seems to think she’s exempt from hand-washing at home. Out, no problem. Home, argumentative.
I like your toilet paper visual. I think my husband needs that one….

I know what it is like to have whole rolls ‘flushed’ down the toilet!!!! That is a great product. You must re so relieved to have a diagnosis for Annie, we haven’t progressed any further with Joel. I still cannot see where he fits, he is not a naughty child, doesn’t have social issues, no tantrums, can communicate etc.
